RTO/ERO celebrates 50 years of service to education community
2018 is a significant year for us, as we celebrate our golden anniversary. That’s 50 years of serving members of the broader education community.
Much has changed in the past five decades. We’ve grown from about 6,000 members in 1968 to 76,000+ in 2018. We started as Ontario-based, but today we have members in every province, with 46 districts in Ontario and two in British Columbia.
What has not changed over the years is our commitment to our mission: improving the lives of our members and seniors.
In achieving this mission, we have three strategic goals:
- Be the trusted voice for the broader education community
- Improve the lives of members and seniors
- Broaden the membership base
Everything we do is a reflection of the goals and objectives of our Strategic Plan 2020 .
If you’re thinking about joining us as a member, our website provides terrific information to help you understand all we have to offer. If you’re already a member, we have many resources to enhance your membership experience and your health benefits.
A huge thank you to everyone who help us do what we do. Your generous volunteer service truly makes the difference.
You are the face of RTO/ERO in your local communities!
