On September 8th, I celebrated the first day of school by heading to the annual “To Hell with the Bell’ lunch meeting in District 43, Nipissing. This was the next in my commitment this year to travel to all Districts to meet and chat with RTO/ERO members directly. President Paul Brazeau kindly picked me up at the airport. I managed to spend time meeting many of the 116 members in attendance before lunch. What a pleasure to speak with the group following their meal and stressed my commitment to the major theme this year of “Walk with Me”. In the upcoming fall issue of Renaissance you will read in my inaugural article my personal challenge to walk 10,000 steps a day. My intention is to virtually walk 10,000 steps per day to cross Ontario before May 2016.
What a delight to meet a Nipissing member who is already way ahead in this commitment to health, fitness and wellness. Terry Cant pictured here in his jazzy golf shirt is an RTO/ERO District 43 member who walks every day. As a result he has trimmed more than 55 pounds in his personal commitment to healthy living. This is an inspiration that I feel certain will be followed by many more of your wonderful stories.
The inspiring Terry Cant, who is seeing results while on his walking journey.
